The Internet is exploding with North Korea’s latest achievement. According to several reports, the country managed to beat every other country in one particular thing – landing a man on the Sun. And while many Internet users don’t believe it, the story seems legit enough.
On January 21st Hung Il Gong, a 17 year old astronaut, was sent on a special 18 hour long mission. Il Gong, who’s also a nephew of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, traveled to the bright star in a specially designed rocket. According to the reports, the teenager managed to successfully land on the Sun. He has returned back to North Korea on the very same day, bringing back some sun spot samples, which he had collected. Waterford Whispered News state that the samples were brought back as a gift for Kim Jong-un and not for scientific purposes.
Nevertheless, the country of North Korea sees a hero in the face of Il Gong, regardless of the purpose behind his mission and his connection to the country’s supreme leader.
