Everyone has a particular dream job in mind but it’s quite rare that any of us would get the chance to find it. However, this is not the case with professional ice-cream testers. On a daily basis they sample over 60 different packages of delicious ice-creams.
The technique for tasting ice-creams is quite elaborate. Firstly, the testers use their eyesight to determine whether the ice-cream looks appetizing or not. Then they leave the ice-cream to reach a temperature of 50° F so the flavor and aroma are at their best.
For the tasting itself they use a unique one-of-a-kind designer gold spoon. This type of gold plated spoon enables the tester to taste the ice-cream without the slightest trace of an “aftertaste” from ordinary spoons. After that the process is similar to wine tasting. The testers pick up the spoonful of ice-cream and swirl the product in their mouths so they could fill all their taste buds. However, the testers don’t actually eat the ice-cream but spit it out in a bucket.
