Ashton Kutcher is known for many things. The 35 year old actor is a former model, film producer, co-founder of an investment fund and lately he has become a product engineer at a huge tech company.
It might sound surprising, but back in the days Kutcher invested in Skype after Marc Andreessen convinced him to risk his money for the then-fledgling, which later turned out to be a mega hit long before Facebook and Twitter came into fashion. In 2011 Microsoft acquired Skype for $8 billion, which automatically put Kutcher’s name among many other successful venture capitalists’ ones. Apart from Skype, the Hollywood actor has invested in Foursquare, Flipboard, Blekko, Path, Airbnb and many more.
However, Kutcher doesn’t define himself as an investor, but as an actor. The Butterfly effect, Jobs, What Happens in Vegas and Valentine’s Day are just some titles among his successful movie career. Kutcher is currently starring in Two and a half Men and according to official reports, he’s currently making $750,000 per each episode.
