Now you can turn your loved ones’ cremated ashes into diamonds!
Instead of keeping the ashes of your deceased loved ones in urns, now you can turn them into diamonds and keep them close to you whenever you go.
Ashes to ashes? Forget about it – it’s all about ashes to diamonds now!
Instead of just burying your deceased family relatives and loved ones or simply cremating them and keeping their ashes in an urn, now you can turn them into diamonds. Real, 100%, sparkly diamonds! Not so long ago a breakout Swiss company going by the name Algordanza, made headlines for offering this extraordinary service. How is it even possible?
The process of transforming one’s cremated ashes into diamonds is a slow and complex transformation. It starts with the extraction of the carbon, which can be found in the ashes. After that carbon is extracted it has to be heated in order to be converted into graphite. The newly obtained graphite undergoes a heating process, during which the substance is exposed to a temperature of 2,700 degrees Fahrenheit (or 1,482 degrees Celsius). Afterwards it has to be subjected to extreme forces (for example, Algordanza uses 870,000 pounds per a square inch!).
The final product is a hard, 100% diamond made out of cremated ashes. The colors of the finished product can vary between green, blue, white and several others. It usually depends on the amount of boron, which can be found in the deceased person’s ashes. Algordanza’s prices for this kind of diamond kicks off at $4,474 and goes up depending on the diamond’s size and cut.
Another company, Cremation Solutions, also specializes in the same service. They offer the so-called “Cremation Diamonds” in white, blue, yellow, red and green colors and in princess, radiant and round cuts. They claim their products are certified, authenticated and inspected by expert gemologists.
