A 19-year-old girl from Coventry, UK has been diagnosed with an extremely rare condition called Susac Syndrome. Sadly, Jess Lydon has been forced to relive the same day over and over again each time she wakes up in the morning. She is relentlessly trapped in the present and not able to recollect any of her previous memories.
The Susac Syndrome is a very odd and rare condition and merely 250 cases in history have been documented. The brain disorder is so unique that scientists haven’t been able to discover what actually causes it. Often the main symptoms include hearing loss, dizziness, severe paranoia, hallucinations and blindness. Sometimes the disorder disappears and cures itself in the course of time but in most of the cases it leads to heavier mental disorders that eventually might cost the patient’s life.
Jesse Lydon can’t remember her previous birthday or her friends. She can’t even remember what she had for dinner last night. Jesse gets confused if she browses through the family photo album because she can’t recall any of the events that took place. To make the situation even worse Jesse still thinks she has a boyfriend whom she actually broke up with more than two years ago. She’s compelled by her untreatable mysterious condition to relive the pain of heartbreak every single day.
Currently, Jesse is on steroid therapy and is looking forward to getting better and maintaining a normal life.
