The gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence, who just turned 25, is the highest paid actress on our planet!
Lawrence kicked off her acting career back in the distant 2006 when she was only 16 years old. Her very first role was a cameo appearance on Touchstone’s hit TV series Monk. Her big break came after Winter’s Bone (2010) and X-Men: First Class (2011) came out. Nowadays the Louisville, Kentucky, native actress has nearly 30 titles in her filmography.
She has 3 Academy Awards nominations (one of which she won for Best Leading Actress in Silver Linings Playbook), 2 Golden Globes, 2 SAG Awards, 1 BAFTA, and many others. Thanks to her brilliant acting skills and passion for dramatic projects, Lawrence is currently the highest paid actress. Forbes’ list of highest paid celebs features Jennifer on top of all of her female colleagues with the impressive $52 million, which she managed to score over the course of 12 months only. Second on Forbes’ list is Scarlett Johansson, who scored $35.5 million over the past year.
The 25 year old Lawrence made her first six figure salary out of the first Hunger Games back in 2012. Her initial salary was set to be $500,000, but thanks to the movie’s global success Jennifer’s earnings jumped over $1 million. Her salary for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire totaled the whopping $10,000,000. She’s getting paid $15 million for the upcoming drama Joy and $20 million for a pre-production Sci-Fi called Passengers, which is set to come out next year. Up until then we can see Lawrence reprise her role of Katniss Everdeen one final time in The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2, in Joy and in X-Men: Apocalypse, which she is currently filming on various locations in Quebec, Canada.
