The city of gold – most people think that it was just a fictional place, a mirage created by the otherwise desperate people during the gold rush or some other past frenzy. In fact, there was a real city in Colorado that was quite similar to a city of gold. Mind you, it can even be easily considered The City of Gold.
Victor (meaning winner in Latin) had all of its streets paved with… gold! This was because of its great success and the prosperity it achieved because the biggest mines in the country during the Gold Rush were positioned right next to it.
