Researchers are using Calvin Klein’s Obsession for scientific purposes regarding the wild life, because jaguars, tigers, cheetahs and other wild cats are irresistibly attracted by the perfume!
When designers and celebrities advertise their perfumes, they often claim the products are irresistibly attractive and have the power to awaken one’s inner wild side. However, as it turns out, Calvin Klein’s Obsession for Men does indeed wake up the wild side.
Shortly after the perfume hit the shelves all around the world some researchers found out that Obsession for Men isn’t as nearly attractive to human females as it is to tigers, pumas, jaguars, cheetahs and other wild cats. The Wildlife Conservation Society has been struggling with the attempt to attract wild cats to cameras with a large variety of scents. Up until recently they hadn’t found anything that would work on all lions, pumas, jaguars and cheetahs as effectively as they would want. However, Calvin Klein’s perfume somehow attracts every single wild cat so strongly that the creatures have been spotted sniffing, rubbing, pawing and simply enjoying the scent too much. It’s not really clear what exactly makes them so attracted to the Obsession for Him perfume, but the cats are absolutely obsessed by it.
A number of researchers and scientists from the Wildlife Conservation Society have started using the perfume in order to attract the jaguars and their close relatives for scientific purposes such as capturing them on camera or keeping track on their population. Roan McNab, one of the WCS officials, spoke out about the unusual phenomenon. He addressed the issue the WCS have been having when it comes to attracting jaguars, since they can be quite whimsical. McNab stated that the perfume has worked magic with the jaguars, as well as with the tapirs, pumas, and other wild cats.
