There aren’t many companies out there which work towards a brand new and innovative outlook of the funereal business. It’s good to know there is at least one company like that. It offers unique product solutions to people who don’t necessarily like the idea of having a tomb stone to be remembered by long after they’re gone.
A Spanish product design company based in Barcelona called “Estudimoline” has been marketing successfully their eco-friendly product: The Bios Urn. The urn was single-handedly designed and created by the extravagant product designer Gerard Moline. He has taken the ideas of life-after-death and spiritual preservation and combined them into a unique solution which Bios Urn offers. His product is a biodegradable vessel in which a seed of a plant is placed. It’s then covered with the ashes of a person who was previously cremated. The ashes are full of phosphorus and nutrients which serve as a natural fertilizer. This enables the process of vegetation and the possibility of a tree growing one day.
To make his product even more customizable the designer lets you pick your own type of plant depending where exactly and at what time you’d your urn to be buried.
