Violet Constance Jessop is born on 2 October 1887. She was a ocean liner stewardess known for surviving the sinking of both “the Titanic” and “the Britanic” in 1912 and 1916. She also survived the collusion of “the Olympic”
The Olympic was the largest luxury civilian ship at that time. On 20 September 1911, the ship collided with the cruiser HMS Hawke and was able to make it to Southampton.
She boarded on the Titanic as a stewardess on 10 April 1912 and four days later the ship sank. While sinking she had to be the “how to behave” example for non-english speakers, because they couldn’t follow the evacuation instructions.
During WWI she served as a stewardess on the His Majesty’s Hospital Ship Britannic. On 21 November 1916 the ship struck a mine. (There is also another theory of which caused the sinking. Some people believe that German U-Boat “shot the Britannic without warning”. She survived that sinking as well.
