One young kid was very sad at the thought of spending her favorite family holiday, Christmas, without her adored teddy bear. But thanks to some good luck and the help of thousands of social media users this will not happen.
A random railway passenger named Lauren Bishop Vranch found a nice teddy bear doll on the East Coast train at King’s Cross Station in London, United Kingdom. Mrs. Vranch then thought that some little child could be devastated from the loss of its favorite toy so she set up a Twitter campaign in order to find the teddy bear’s rightful owner.
Mrs. Vranch’s request was liked, shared and re-tweeted by thousands of concerned diligent citizens.
Eventually, a father named Ben Simpson came upon the campaign which was trending on line. He then wrote a comment in the group called “Spotted: On The Train” that this was indeed his daughter Phoebe’s teddy bear. The joyful father couldn’t believe the power of the Internet could bring his distraught daughter such joy just before Christmas.
Ben and his daughter Phoebe were traveling from York to King’s Cross Station where Lauren later found the teddy bear on her way to Newcastle.
