These days the Internet is filled with speculations about several of Mars’ mysteries – including the triangle spaceship and the doughnut rock. And while there’s no official word on the alleged triangle alien spaceship, NASA has already explored the doughnut rock.
The strange white rock has a circular shape and a red spot in the middle, just like a doughnut. It has also been named Pinnacle Island and the Jelly Doughnut rock of Opportunity rover. The Mars rover’s footage was the one who brought the rock to NASA’s attention. The rock’s origin is still a mystery and official reports state that it was nowhere near the rover several days ago. And while the rover hasn’t been moved in the past month, one of NASA’s theories states that it could have been lodged under the rover. The official tests show that it consists of magnesium, sulphur and much more manganese than any other object on Mars.
The Opportunity rover has been travelling Mars for the past 10 years, but the NASA explorers have never seen anything like it before.
