One man quit his job so he could live in his treehouse.
It sounds insane and quite stupid, but if you took a look at the guy’s treehouse you would understand why he chose to live in it instead of in the city.
Foster Huntingdon used to work in the city and would travel the world in his camper van. However, all of that changed when the man decided to quit his job and move in his ah-mazing treehouse. Back in 2011 the man quit his job and decided he should build his very own paradise on Earth. He chose a parcel located in a wooden area of Skamania, Washington, US, and build a gorgeous tree house. The house is self-sustainable and it comes with luxuries like a guest cabin, an outdoor shower and a private skate park. Foster spent the last few years building his treehouse from scratch and he’s even working on a documentary book about it. The book will feature images of the work in progress, the engineering plans, the materials used in the construction, and so much more.
The treehouse offers stunning views of the forest area around it and it even has a lovely narrow bridge, which connects the two cabins – the main one, which Foster uses for his needs, and the smaller one, which functions as a guest cabin. When he was contacted by the media about his awesome project, Foster shared that he believes it’s of extreme importance to live in a place, which inspires you. Instead of living in the city, Foster decided to evolve his accommodation from a tiny camper van into a small, but ah-mazing tree house. He also stated that he’s used to living in small places, even though his current accommodation has such luxuries and views that the small living space isn’t really a disadvantage.
