There has been a picture popping up all over the Internet that shows a young boy that can’t handle his tears when he met the two trash men that work on the same street that he resides. When you meet your hero, a few quirky emotions can arise. You might be starstruck and not say anything, you could talk up a storm out of excitement or, you could do what one little boy did.
When you hear the word hero, what do you think of? Maybe a superhero such as Batman, Spiderman, Captain America or Iron Man. Or, perhaps it’s a very influential person in your life such as your mother or, your father. The true definition of a hero is a person who is admired for showing courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. A hero can be anybody and for young Quincy, his heroes are the men who travel down his street every week on the same day from house to house in a big huge truck, collecting all the of garbage of the week from the homes on that street. His heroes are obviously, the garbage men.
Every week, a little boy sits by the window waiting and waiting. As he looks outside he sees the street lined with garbage cans. He is excited because he knows he has not missed the garbage trucks. Then, he hears a rumble coming down the street, he shrieks out of excitement as he sees the trash men coming. This is Quincys favorite time of the week. He admires the trash collectors. He admires them so much in fact, that he wanted to show him his very own garbage truck that he had. Quincy got to meet his heroes and it seems it was a very emotional experience for him. As the picture was being taken, tears started streaming down his face because he was just so happy.
