There are certain things that must be seen in order to be believed. One such thing is a man who uses a sword to slice in half a bullet that moves at great speed. Yes, it is possible!
Isao Machii, who describes himself as a modern-day samurai, was filmed while to accomplish this seemingly impossible task. The pellet was moving at 200 mph, so the makers of the video used a camera that slows the film by 250 times, so that the viewers can actually see how Machii slices the bullet.
A witness of the achievement, Dr. Ramani Dursavula who is an associate professor in the Psychology Department of the California State University, explained that she didn’t see the sword cutting the pellet, but actually heard the noise produced when they came into contact.
Machii has been studying the ancient art of swordsmanship since he was five. He holds the Guinness World Record for most sword cuts to straw mats in three minutes with 252 cuts.
