Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the top-grossing movie actor for the almost expired year of 2013. The former professional wrestler was extremely productive this year and he starred in a multitude of high-grossing and successful movies.
His parts in the movies “Pain & Gain”, “Snitch’, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” and “Fast & Furious 6”,of course, earned the staggering combined profit of $1.3 billion in ticket sales worldwide. This combined figure does not include all of Johnson’s movies from 2013 such as “Empire State” which is a good crime drama also featuring Emma Roberts and Liam Hemsworth.
Last year’s top grossing movie actor Robert Downey Jr. came in second this year by working only on one project in 2013 which was “Iron Man 3”. The sequel of Marvel’s ‘Iron Man’ acquired an estimated amount of $1.2 billion in sales globally. The No.3 spot belongs to the comedian actor Steve Carell mainly for his voice acting in the animated “Despicable Me 2” grossing $919 million.
