The Swedish police responded to a burglary-related call and found themselves helping the caller with his homework.
According to official reports, an 11 year old boy from Stockholm, Sweden, reported a possible burglary in his home. The boy heard noises and called the cops. When the police arrived, they found him home alone and terrified of what he thought was a burglar. There was no burglar in the house, but since the boy’s mother wasn’t due home, the police officers thought they should stay with him. In the end, they even helped him to solve his multiplication tables and other math-related homework until his mother came back.
Viktor Adolphson, a spokesperson for the Sodermalm police, said the kid had called his mom, too, and that even though the officers knew there was no need to stay with him, he was so scared that they just couldn’t leave him home alone again.
