The house always wins, though an unnamed thief recently managed to heist $33 million from the largest casino in Australia.
Reports state that an unnamed man stole 32 million Australian dollars (more than 33 million USD) by performing a sneaky Ocean’s Eleven-style fraud. The man, who’s believed to be a foreigner, bribed an unauthorized person to hack into Crown Casino’s high-resolution security cameras, which keep a strict eye out for any funny business. The security system was used against the casino and helped the thief to win big in a VIP room. Reports state that the robber allegedly won the money over 8 hands of cards while gambling on extremely high stakes. The bribed accomplice allegedly used some sort of signal in order to tip off the thief while spying on the other players. The heist was discovered and the thief was found in a VIP villa at the casino complex. However, Crown decided not to file a complaint against him and told the media they would recover the money.
After all, in the end the house always wins.
