If you know you are adopted and have no clue who your real parents are the best place by far to launch your search is the social media giant Facebook. Just a year ago a 44-year-old woman living in the San Diego area named Angela Palmer was contacted on Facebook by her long lost mother.
At first Palmer completely disregarded the friend request from a Croatian Facebook user named Helga Simeckie. But after Palmer received a message in German language by the very same user who claimed to be her mother she was shocked. It turns out that all her life Palmer was lied to by her father who had escaped from Croatia and kidnapped her. He told her she was abandoned by her mother which was proven to be a lie 44 years later.
Now Palmer is raising money via Fundly to bring her mother from Croatia to the USA. What an amazing new beginning.
