There’s no denying that Thailand is one of the most picturesque destinations to visit on a holiday trip. However, thanks to the recent coup and to attacks on foreign tourists, the country has been suffering from a drop in tourist numbers.
In order to increase the numbers of tourist to previous levels and to give the foreigners a feeling of peace and safety, Thailand’s officials have proposed a solution that could fix the problem – identification bracelets. It sounds strange and probably even a little bit ridiculous, but the ID bracelets might actually help Thailand. The tourists will receive them once they check into their hotels and they will have their ID, hotel address and number in case they get drunk, lost or find themselves in another emergency situation. Some of the other proposed safety measures were GPS tracking devices and curfew hours.
The government is yet to review the number of proposals and choose what steps to make in order to provide safety to foreign tourists.
