Florida authorities are on the lookout for a really troublesome Santa Claus since Monday, December 23. Apparently, the bearded Kris Kringle robbed the Sun Trust Bank in Port Orange just before Christmas eve.
The Bad Santa, or at least someone impersonating him, wearing a white beard, a red hat and a pair of white gloves was able to put fear in the employees of the bank with a clever strategy. He entered the bank and put a wrapped Christmas gift on the counter before slipping the tellers a note with the message “This is not a joke.”
The culprit disguised as Santa Claus was then given a certain amount of cash and got away by taking a ride in a dark vehicle rather than a sleigh. When the bomb squad arrived at the bank a couple of minutes later they determined there was no actual bomb threat inside the wrapped Christmas gift. The bad Santa Claus is still at large and the case is being investigated.
