Robert John Downey, Jr. was born on April 4, 1965. He is one of the most notorious and world-famous American actors up to date. He first appeared in a movie at the fragile age of five and has remained an active actor ever since. His best attempt of winning an Oscar for a lead male role was in 1992 when he played Charlie Chaplin in the movie “Chaplin”. Sadly, he lost to an even greater actor in the face of Al Pacino who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in “Scent of a Woman”.
Today, Robert Downey Jr. is easily recognizable for his role of the Marvel’s comic book action hero, Tony Stark aka. Iron Man. For his roles in the Iron Man trilogy and The Avengers, Robert Downey Jr. quickly became the highest paid actor for 2013, according to Forbes. This is pretty ironical considering the fact when Downey was 16-years-old he was a mean bully who often terrorized his classmates. At one situation he allegedly took the comic book of the hands of a classmate. He then called his classmate a “nerd” and teared into shreds his favorite comic book which was “The Invincible Iron Man”.
