Parents in India are actually climbing school walls just to make sure their kids will cheat on their exams! If you thought the education system in your country is bad, just take a quick look at what kids (and more importantly – their parents) in Bihar, India, are doing just to cheat on their 10th grade exams!
Almost one and a half million 10th graders in Bihar, India, sat behind their desks for their exams earlier this March. As it turned out, the kids weren’t the only ones working for their degree – their parents were putting more sweat to it than the teenagers!
Several surveillance cameras managed to catch tons and tons of parents or other family relatives literally climbing walls in order to help the kids cheat on the exams. The elder people climbed even the highest stories just to pass the answer sheets to the teenagers. Look at the ridiculous pictures to see for yourself – the situation can’t get more hilarious than it already is! The Bihar officials, like the education minister and the former chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board have stated that cheating doesn’t really help the kids, since the point is to learn something and not to just pass the given exams. Not only that, but the officials claim that the education system in India is so bad, because the parents aren’t really helping the kids learn something at school.
Between 600 and 1,600 10th graders were expelled from high school thanks to their parents’ choice to help them cheat. The literacy rate in Bihar is actually as low as 64%, while the total literacy rate of India is 74%.
Now ask yourself this question: who are the dumber ones here – the kids or their parents?
