Have you ever wondered just how much the social media rules your life in this day and age?
According to official reports and various studies, 33% of the divorce filings that took place in the US in 2011 actually contained the word “Facebook” in them. A great number of couples and spouses have listed the social media for a number of reasons, mostly as evidence for a relationship gone bad. For example, some couples would use the social networking website as evidence that their partners were sending provocative messages to friends from the opposite gender or use their kids’ profiles as evidence that one of the parents wasn’t being a good role model in their lives. Not only that, but many people have actually grown fond of the social media as a new and more efficient way to end a relationship instead of using text messaging or the good old face-to-face breakup talk.
