Many of us in the internet generation have Googled their own name. However, sometimes the results aren’t quite as expected, as one California man discovered to his chagrin.
Official reports state that when 27 year old Christopher Viatafa from Palo Alto, CA, Googled himself, he was shocked to find his name featured on Northern California’s Most Wanted site. Despite being one of the state’s most sought-after criminals, suspected of firing shots towards an empty building, Viatafa suffered an attack of conscience and handed himself into police shortly after seeing his name on the website.
The Most Wanted website was launched in December 2013 by local, state and federal police forces. It has come in handy for law enforcement services, enabling the public to assist in investigations and provide information that can prove vital in catching criminals.
