Although she got nominated two times and received an Oscar statuette for the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, Angelina Jolie received the golden Academy Award statuette only once. And her behavior at the ceremony turned out to be more memorable than the fact that she won an Oscar.
In the not so distant 2000 Jolie was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress after portraying the sociopathic Lisa Rowe in Girl, Interrupted. The rebellious and mentally ill nature of her character made an appearance at the Academy Award ceremony when Jolie shared a passionate and extremely long kiss with her own brother James Haven Voight. The notorious deed made many people believe Jolie and Voight were engaged in an incestuous affair. Angelina’s own words regarding the kiss didn’t exactly help her. The 38 year old actress told the whole world she was practically in love with her brother.
Nevertheless, the awkward moment didn’t stop her from becoming one of Hollywood’s most successful actresses and claiming the title Most Beautiful Woman Alive.
