Therefore it might not come as such a shock that the ‘Wrecking Ball’ hit maker is leading the Time magazine reader poll regarding who should be 2013 Person of The Year.
Currently, the controversial starlet is beating most Hollywood celebrities, sports stars, authors and world leaders. Her contribution to the public discourse is taking 29.4 per cent of people’s votes whereas Indian politician Narendra Modi and NSA informant Edward Snowden are left second and third with, respectively, 12.5 and 9.6 per cent of the votes. Other celebrities included in the Top 5 are Jimmy Fallon and Angelina Jolie.
However, it’s not certain yet that Miley is going to win the title as the winner is ultimately determined by the Time magazine editors and the poll is used mainly to show public opinion. The final day you can vote is December 4 and the results will be announced on December 11.
