Former Disney star Miley Cyrus might be twerking, acting provocatively, swearing in public and stirring up controversy all around the globe on daily basis, but she proved she still has the kind heart of the girl that once became famous as Hannah Montana.
Several years ago, when she still looked innocent and girly with her long dark hair, Cyrus met Caley Camarillo, a devoted young fan from Gilroy, California. The Wrecking Ball singer learned that Caley was suffering from cystic fibrosis, a fatal disease that affected the girl’s digestive system and lungs. Caley died earlier this June at the age of 12. Miley recorded a video message for the girl and Caley watched it shortly before her passing. In the message the 21 year old singer said that she was still praying for Caley and holding her in her heart. She also said that she had been in contact with Caley’s mom for several days.
Caley’s family set up a Go Fund Me page. The donations will be used for spreading the girl’s ashes on all the places she wanted to visit, but couldn’t because of her disease.
