Several years ago Lindsay Lohan and Kristi Kaylor designed a clothing line called 6126 in reference to Marilyn Monroe’s birth date. The line hit a number of stores, including Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom. D.N.A.M. Apparel also struck a deal with the 27 year old actress, but things got pretty ugly back in 2013.
Lohan filed a lawsuit for $1.1 million against D.N.A.M, according to which the brand didn’t actually pay her for license or for sales. Shortly after that the company filed a countersuit against Lohan. The $5.5 million countersuit claimed that the actress’ drug-abuse related problems and bad public image caused her line to fall apart and that D.N.A.M. were unable to make any sales. The actress lost the lawsuit after not being present to defend her case. As troubles for Lohan continued striking after the lost lawsuit the court finally agreed to offer a settlement.
Lohan has received $150,000 in order to settle down matters with D.N.M.A. once and for all. However, this sum hardly stands anything against the $5 million Lohan lost from the countersuit.
