Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding, the alleged wedding of the century, might not happen after all. The couple-to-be hasn’t split up despite all their foes wishing so, the reason is strictly legal. It turns out that French laws require either party of a matrimonial couple to have spent at least 40 days in the country prior to the wedding. However, in Kim and Kanye’s case neither of them has done so.
The rapper does in fact own a luxury apartment in the French capital but he doesn’t live there full time, nor does he spent enough time in the country. The legal requirements have been confirmed by the French Embassy in Washington D.C. and, unfortunately, cannot be waived. Reportedly, Kim has been greatly disappointed as the bride-to-be doesn’t want her wedding to be delayed even for a day and insists on tying the knot in the most romantic city in the world. It seems that the only possible solution for the couple would be to have a civil ceremony on American soil and then carry on with their dream Parisian wedding.
