When a famous rapper, actor or socialite decides to write a book, it’s usually an autobiography. However, Ja Rule is planning on writing a cookbook (that’s right!) that will be based on the meals the rapper used to make when he was in prison.
The 38 year old rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, was sentenced to 2 years behind bars for tax evasion in 2011. But he didn’t really bother with the bad prison food while he was serving his time, instead being shown by his prison mates how to cook his own food using only a microwave. He learned how to make stuff like lasagna and even cheesecake in the small appliance the prisoners had in their “dorms”. Shortly after he was released, he shared during an interview that he’s planning on writing a book on how to cook microwave meals. According to his own words, they were “pretty decent”.
Ja Rule isn’t the first one to think of such a crazy idea – Coolio and 2 Chainz already released two cookbooks.
