The scorching temperatures in Caorle, Italy, are so boiling hot that even cars are melting under the sun!
If you’re thinking of going on a vacation to a beachside destination in Italy, think again! The temperatures there are so hot that the sun is literally melting cars!
John Westbrook, one taxi driver from Folkestone, UK, went to Italy, and witnessed something quite shocking and troubling. The Brit visited the small beachside town near Venice called Caorle and while he was walking near the beach he spotted a Renault Megane melting under the sun. The navy blue combi coupe vehicle had apparently been left on the beach for several days and it had started reacting to the scorching heat in a natural way. Although Renault claims that their cars are made to sustain extreme climate, the Megane apparently wasn’t that fond of the heat.
The video and the pictures, which the taxi driver took, clearly show that the car’s sides had started melting away alongside its front bumper, the stop lights and parts of the door checks. Westbrook stated that even the mirrors of the vehicle had started buckling up under the extreme temperatures in Italy. According to official reports, the temperatures in Caorle have reached up to 37 degrees in Celsius. Apart from strokes, sunstrokes, feinting, passing out and death cases, the people in Caorle haven’t seen something like this. Westbrook claims that the car had been left on the beach under the sun’s scorching rays for several days, which has eventually caused it to start melting. The short video footage, which the driver took, has been circling the web for the past few days. It’s all over YouTube, where it has been re-uploaded numerous times. Top Videos’ channel managed to score more than 27,000 views of the video over the course of a single day after uploading it on YouTube!
