Burger King was involved in a campaign quite interesting and challenging at the same time. The offer of the company was to unfriend ten people on Facebook and you will get a free Whopper for doing so. The person that you no longer wanted to have as a friend received a message that delivered the bad news: “you were rejected as a friend because the love for Whoppers is greater than our friendship”. So there was no chance to do it without anyone noticing your betrayal.
People had two options here : they could unfriend 10 people they did not care so much about and weren’t close with; the other option was to join forces with other Whooper lovers for mutual rejection of their friendship just for the cause of getting a free coupon.
