In the distant 1972 a flight attendant called Vesna Vulović, survived a serious aircraft crash which killed all other passengers and crew members on board. Reportedly, Vesna lived through a 33,000ft fall without a parachute.
According to several reports there was a bomb on board which exploded and broke the plane in two causing the aircraft crash. The plane landed in a wooded area in Czechoslovakia (today’s Czech Republic). The stewardess was never supposed to be on board but her schedule had gotten mixed up with another flight attendant’s so Vesna ended up on the flight from Stockholm to Belgrade. She was found among the wreckage in a coma with broken legs, broken skull and several crushed vertebrae. Three days later she woke up in a hospital and had no memory of the explosion. The last thing she could recall was greeting passengers.
Doctors thought her low blood pressure saved her life causing her to lose consciousness before her heart could give up on her. Vesna was able to recover and her amazing story shocked the whole world.
