Social network presence is important for most celebrities and they are ready to do anything in order to get more followers and keep them entertained when they visit their accounts. In reality, some of them are even ready to hire other people to post on their behalf.
This is the case of actor George Takei who is mostly famous for his role in Star Trek. The actor has 4 million followers on Facebook who are now quite disappointed as they found out Takei is not the one who posts on his own account. According to the comedic writer Rick Polito, Takei has paid him $10 for every joke he wrote and posted on the actor’s Facebook account.
It seems the discovery has disappointed and saddened many of Takei’s fans but he said this wasn’t a big deal. The actor explained that his husband Brad helped him maintain his account and entertain his followers. However, the 76-year-old actor assured his fans that all published comments were his own.
