Saggy trousers get banned in Florida.
There is bad news coming for those such as Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber and others, who like their trousers sagging down.
The city of Ocala, Florida, proposed a ban for sagging trousers back in 2009. According to the city officials, sagged pants were offending, scruffy and disgraceful. At first Ocala’s council was reluctant to sign the ban, but now it has been passed. Mary Rich, who is part of the council, told the media that the just the fact that young or older people would publicly show off their underwear by wearing sagging trousers or jeans is disgraceful. The council is hoping to bring some order to Ocala and keep it a clean and exemplary place for its residents. Ocala is the fourth city in The States to embrace such a law. There are 3 other towns in Louisiana, Tennessee and New Jersey that have the same policy for saggy trousers.
The law is concerning all public places in Ocala, such as public transport, parks, streets and so on. The lawbreakers will face a warning, a $500 fine and also jail time.
