It’s not a secret that some of Eminem’s songs have been banned or censored on certain radio or music channels. However, thanks to his abusive lyrics and swearing, he’s now being banned from a gig in London, UK.
The rapper was about to sing at a gig in Hyde Park in London this July, but he received a sudden ban from taking part. According to Royal Parks, the organization that runs Hyde Park, the 41 year old rapper’s songs were unsuitable thanks to their offensive lyrics and frequent swearing. Royal Parks claim that Eminem’s songs could disturb the audience as well as the people living in the neighborhood. According to Sir Edward Lister, the Head of staff in the London Mayor Boris Johnson’s office, the city hall couldn’t revoke Royal Park’s decision. They decided not to get involved, since Lister claims he never heard of Eminem, let alone of his music or lyrics.
Thanks to the ban the singer will be performing at Wembley Stadium instead of at Hyde Park on the 11th and the 12th of June.
