Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s daughter and only child ever, was married to both Nicholas Cage and Michael Jackson.
It’s not unusual for Hollywood couples or famous musicians to marry and then divorce before their fans have had enough time to take in the news. Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the notorious Elvis Presley, has several such marriages and divorces.
Lisa Marie was born in early 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, US, to Elvis Presley and his then-wife Priscilla Presley. She took into her father’s steps and became a musician with a vast music style varying from blues to country and rock. Back in 1988 she married Danny Keough, a fellow musician. They had two children together before divorcing six years later in 1994. Less than a month after she had divorced Danny, Lisa Marie married Michael Jackson. The two of them had been growing pretty close since 1992. As it turned out, she changed her mind about the King of Pop and divorced him in early 1996, less than two years after they married. The reason for the divorce was “irreconcilable differences”.
Presley’s daughter was about to marry for the third time. She was engaged to John Oszajca, another fellow musician, but she decided to break off the engagement after she met actor Nicholas Cage at some party in 2000. Nicholas Cage proposed to Lisa Marie in August 2002 and the two of them married just ten days after getting engaged. Unsurprisingly enough, their marriage was just as short as their engagement. Cage himself filed for divorce in November that very same year. The media covered their story and mocked their decision for the divorce proceeding actually lasted longer than their marriage – it took them two years!
Lisa Marie’s fourth and final marriage up to date is with her music producer and lead guitarist – Michael Lockwood.
