The former NBA all-star Dennis Rodman is planning a new trip to North Korea in order to visit his buddy Kim Jong-un for a third time. The latter also happens to be one of the youngest totalitarian world leaders today which makes their friendship a bit odd.
According to a friend close to Rodman his planned visit to the reclusive country is actually not so extraordinary as it is strictly work related.
The ex Chicago Bulls top player is organizing friendly exhibition games between former NBA players and the North Korean basketball team in January 2014. Rodman is planning to fly to North Korea on December 20th, just days before Christmas. He is going to stay there a couple of days, maybe a week, to teach the North Korean B-ballers a thing or two about the game. The tattooed giant announced that the first exhibition game is scheduled on January 8th and the second one on January 10th.
The unique friendship between Kim and Rodman made the headlines earlier in March this year. After his first visit to North Korea, Rodman stated that the young dictator had become his “friend for life”.
