Selfies are such a hit that even your grandmother knows how to take them.
According to a Romanian woman, her late grandmother took a selfie in order to contact her from the other side of the veil. The 34 year old Gina Mihai, who’s from Scurtesti, Romania, when she turned on her phone she saw her late relative’s face staring at her from a self-portrait. Gina describes the portrait as eerie and phantom-like as if it was taken through a tear in the veil that’s separating the world of the living from the one of the dead. Furthermore, according to the woman, her grandmother had a snake curled around her neck on the selfie. Gina took the phone with the selfie to a fortune teller, according to whom the snake was a sign that Gina’s relative was being punished in the afterlife. The fortune teller also told Gina that the selfie was the way for the grandmother to make contact with Gina.
Some of the superstitious locals have visited the nearby churches in order to pray for Gina’s late relative.
