Michael Kean, a student of Environmental Science in his third year of study in Dalhousie University of Hallifax, Canada, came up with a brilliant idea as of how to conquer depression and stress that occur during exam time. The program called “Paws to Read” was first intended to use puppies in the psychological experiment but specialists expressed concern the little animals might be influenced by large groups of people in a harmful way.
The project started in December last year, featuring grown up dogs of different breeds including a Labradoodle, a Sheltie and a Golden Retriever. It quickly became so popular that hundreds of students would line up for hours and literally come running just to spend more time with the dogs.
A similar idea was first introduced at McGill University in Monreal. Isn’t that another reason to love Canada?
