Britney Spears has been used as a secret weapon against the devastating pirate attacks near the East Coast of Africa. It has been reported by British NAVY officials that the security teams of the ships have chosen Britney’s hits because they represent in the best way Western culture.
The Somali pirates cannot stand this type of music due to the strong cultural differences and usually put off their attacks after being blasted with Britney’s all-time hits.
“Baby one more time” and “Oops! I did it again” have proven to be the most effective hidden weapons of the Royal Navy fleet to fend off the attacks.
Royal Fleet officials admit using huge powerful speakers which they point towards the fast little skiffs the pirates use to abduct the tankers with cargo. The music is played loudly but does not affect the ships crew in any way. They claim they prefer listening to Britney instead of having to fire bullets at the pirates.
Nevertheless, pirates would attempt to overcome any obstacle in front of them and the precious cargo in the ships. Some of them began using earplugs but to very little success.
During an interview one of the officials from the Security Association for the Maritime Industry said with a serious tone that if they started using Justin Bieber’s songs it would probably be against the Geneva Convention.
