In the spirit of Valentine’s day one happy newlywed wife named Jessica Downes decided to organize something really special for her husband Patrick. Both of them were lucky survivors after the Boston marathon tragedy from April last year. They have both lost their left legs and gone through a grueling recovery process in the past 10 months.
This year Jessica and Patrick decided to celebrate a bittersweet Valentine’s Day. Jessica told Patrick to come to the Copley Place in Boston and help her film a video featuring her trained service dog, Rescue. Little did Patrick knew what he was about to witness next. When they both came inside the building they suddenly heard someone singing one of their favorite songs “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. All of a sudden a huge group of dancers and singers formed an unexpected flash mob.
Patrick began to spot people he knew among the crowd which really surprised him. His wife had the help of many of the people who cared for them after they were injured.
