Ben Affleck is without a doubt a great actor – his filmography features nearly 60 titles and he has a total of 48 well-earned awards, including two Oscars – one Academy Award for his writing skills in Good Will Hunting and another for producing Argo. However, when it comes to Daredevil – one of his most talked about movies, things don’t look so good.
The superhero movie released in 2003 starred Jennifer Garner, Affleck, Colin Farrell and Wilson Fisk in the main roles, but only Affleck’s and Garner’s acting skills were praised by movie critics. In fact, many claim they were the only things making Daredevil “watchable” and “passable”. Some described the project as “dumb”, “mind-numbing” and derivative of other superhero movies, while others simply thought it was “ordinary”, “merely watchable” and unoriginal. The reviews were so bad that Ben Affleck received a Golden Raspberry award for worst actor.
When he was asked his opinion on the movie’s failure, he said he was utterly disappointed by the project and that it was the only movie he regretted starring in!
