An American guy tried to swim all the way to North Korea and enter the country illegally.
The US citizen in question, whose name still isn’t confirmed, is somewhere between his late 20s and his early 30s. He was busted during his extremely dangerous stunt by the South Korean police officers and was immediately taken into custody. Official reports claim that he tried to swim across a river border that separates the two countries. The police found him on the shore of Han River lying exhausted and catching his breath after his illegal swim. The reports also state that the guy allegedly told the cops that his actions were driven by the wish to meet none other but Kim Jong Un himself.
Another American, named Matthew Miller, was also caught recently entering North Korea. He was sentenced to spend 6 years behind bars for entering the country illegally and for acting as a spy.
