A report made by the pilot of an A320 Airbus which was flying at an altitude of 34,000 ft. emerged recently. In the report the pilot claimed to have dodged what he believed to be a mysterious UFO. According to his statement the shape of the UFO was round and pointed just like a rugby ball. It was silver in color and was flying on a collision course with the commercial plane carrying over 150 passengers.
The pilot informed the aviation authorities that he was able to spot the object coming from his left-hand side at a great speed. The pilot’s reaction was to steer the plane downwards in order to prevent a catastrophic collision with the UFO. The A320 Airbus was flying just 20 miles off Heathrow Airport over the Berkshire country in July last year. The following investigation of the matter didn’t succeed in correctly defining whether the origin of the UFO was earthly or not. The possibilities that it could have been a meteorological balloon or a toy of some sort were all discounted since such objects can’t fly at such extreme heights.
The accident was taken to the UK Airprox Board which specializes in “near misses and air collisions” for further investigation.
