Timothy Frederick Knight was set to appear in court for stealing a vehicle in Daly City, San Francisco area. The police found the car parked in the street and subsequently pressed charges against Knight. The 53-year-old man assumed he would get into trouble for not appearing in court so he did everything he could to show at the appointed date and time.
However, the thief really didn’t think things through. It would have been a mistake not to show up in court but to come in a stolen vehicle since you are being prosecuted for car theft is, to say the least, ironic. The police arrested him as soon as Knight left the court hearing after previously having placed a tracker in the stolen vehicle. The culprit has several prior felony conviction but has pleaded not guilty to the new ones. Knight would only be released after paying the $165,000 bail.
