Christmas really proved to be a miraculous season as Taylor Swift and thousands of people made a dying little girl’s wishes come true in her final days.
This December Delaney Brown from West Reading, Pennsylvania, fulfilled her two of her dying wishes thanks to the Team Laney Facebook page. Laney turned 8 this winter and her parents were told she had only days left to live because of the terminal leukemia, which had contaminated 70% of the girl’s blood. Laney’s mother, Jennifer, created a Facebook page for her daughter. The social media made it possible for Taylor Swift, Laney’s favorite singer, to contact her and talk to her. Another one of Laney’s dying wishes came true in late December when thousands of people gathered in front of her home and sang Christmas carols.
Laney was able to lift her thumbs up for a photograph, which was later uploaded to the Facebook page by her mother as a gesture of gratitude to all those well-wishers who sang to Laney.
