We all know James Cameron – the film director, the deep-sea explorer, the man who created so many epic movies we grew up with.
Cameron was born in an average Canadian family in 1954. He was an ordinary kid who graduated high school and started working as a truck driver. He loved writing and wrote every time he had this opportunity. Cameron also loved reading scientific books and at that time he self-taught himself about special effects.
A major turning point in his life was when he saw the original Star Wars move in 1977. He was so inspired that he decided to quit his job as a truck driver and to do everything possible to enter the film industry. Everything begun when he and two friends of him wrote their first script called “Xenogenesis“, which was a 10 minute science-fiction story. They rented the equipment – a camera, lenses, film stock and studio and shoot it in 35 mm. The short film was released in 1978.
