Vesna Vulovic, 63, used to be a flight attendant at JAT, a Serbian Airline. An explosion on the 26 January 1972 flight from Denmark to Croatia broke the plane to pieces in mid-air. Vesna fell approximately 33, 330 ft and was the only survivor from the crash, thus becoming the Guinness World Record holder for the highest fall without a parachute. She suffered various serious injuries including a fractured skull, two broken legs and several broken vertebrae that caused a temporary paralysis from the waist down. She was also in a coma for almost a month but eventually managed to make a full recovery. To this day,Vesna has no recollection of the accident but feels guilty for being the only survivor.
